Megan Max just based off of a glance, can you double check that all the rooms/venue on the event you are trying to copy are active on the account? That will throw that same error. If they are, we can dig into it more.
-
Emma Whitlock, all of the rooms are active. It turns out that all of the attempts to copy the event went into the inquiries.

-
Hi Team, Michelle is onsite with Bushnell (converted) and has seen this same behavior with red error and then the event moves into a inquiry. Bushnell is in NA Prod. I tested this on Dr. Phillips, converted account, in sandbox and received the same error.

-
Hi folks!
We really need steps to reproduce filled out before we can really dig too far down on this. Amber Lough / Megan Max can you all give a bit more info?
What dates are you copying from / to?What roles does the user you're having the issue come up on? Booking permissions?
-
Something I'm noticing is that its throwing doublebooking warnings even when there are no other events on the day I'm trying to copy to.
On the Wings account, I am able to copy certain events, but not others ( see KOHA-14U A Kwings Red on Jan 8th 2026) event 65033-a → copied to Jan 8 2050 just fine
For the event Nuway Viking wars (event-56201-a) something else a little bizarro about this is that the chips show the rooms as an H2 on the slider despite not having any conflicts or events on the day.

It even fusses at me about doublebooking if I try to move the event instead of copying it despite no actual conflict.

This feels like a conflict checking issue and as victim of circumstance prevents the copy and move booking features from working as intended.
Interesting observation from Emma. Events that are not All Day, you can copy without issue.
-
Elizabeth Fox you good for a bug to have the team take a look on this one too?
-
Hey Kristi Miles , thanks for digging in here. It's OK to raise a bug, but just want to make sure what you're finding is the same as what Megan Max is reporting. Megan, can you review and provide the detailed reproduction steps, so we can be sure if it's the same issue?
As for the note Amber Lough , I see that was also called out in this previous post: https://documentus.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/37675529575959/comments/37676398931991 and I'm wondering if it's a separate issue from this one. Amber Lough , can you work with Support on reproducing this one as well? If it's still happening after those post-release permission fixes were deployed, then I think it's separate and may need its own bug.
Thanks everyone!

Hi Kristi Miles and Elizabeth Fox Here are the steps to reproduce in my sandbox Dr. Phillips Account:
- Log in as Andrew Birgensmith
- Find event Hairspray, unique id 3012
- click into event slider
- copy event to date in future ( I choose Dec 24-25 ,2037)
- Event comes in as inquiry.
- I will note in my example, this is showing overlapping booked spaces. I have been able to copy other events.
Elizabeth this is different than the other issue you noted above. Andrew has full access permissions. In Tulsa's example, she was a limited booker.
-
Hi Elizabeth Fox,
Please see the steps below.
- Account: Wings Event Center
- Impersonate: Alexis Conklin
- Find event Portage Central Graduation (Event ID 55209)
- Copy event to the future (I attempted 5/28/2027)
- Select the “Copy to Prospect” box
- Save
- Received error message: “An error occurred while processing your request.”
- Copied event came in as an inquiry.
- I was able to successfully copy events on my demo.
Alexis has the Full Access Role.
I hope this helps. However, please let me know if I missed anything. Thank you for everything!!
-
Hi all – Wanted to bring this back to the top. Wings Event Center brought this up again in our call yesterday. Was this determined a bug?
Thank you!
-
This also happens on Jekyll Island Convention Center's Account. I created a scribe to duplicate the error: https://scribehow.com/viewer/Copying_an_Event_Error__ki_g4iKNT8y0u4CStV-Ekg
Here is a screenshot of the console log that's referenced in the scribe.

Thank you!

Hi folks, Elizabeth Fox Kristi Miles - I am having this same problem occurring in Arapahoe County Fairgrounds in NA Prod.
I am logged in as Roxie Torres - full access role.
Attempting to copy Event ID 386-A to February 3-4, 2027. There are no conflicts in 2027.

When I click save on the copy slider, it gives the attached error.

The event then only appears in the Inquiry area for the month I'm trying to copy into - February 2027.

I tried to recreate the issue in my Demo Account. However, I am not getting the same error there.
Please let me know if you need additional information! Thank you for your help!
Best,
Rebecca

Rebecca Nolph - Was Arapahoe a converted account by chance? Or were they a fresh start?
-
Michelle Hannaford - This is a fresh start account. They opted for a fresh start after seeing what data would be pulled in with the DC.
-
Rebecca Nolph --hmm that's what I thought but was hoping I was wrong lol It goes against my theory of it only happening on converted accounts. Thanks for confirming!
-
Elizabeth Fox and Kristi Miles Flagging this once more as this seems to be an issue for multiple accounts, not just Wings Event Center. Can we push this as a bug and get a bit of info we can share with our clients?
-
I still cannot replicate this in QA or Demo, following the steps Megan provided. If this is isolated to Production, we'll just need the bug to condense all of these details into one succinct place and list the customer accounts and the events to which it's happening. It will need investigation.
-
🔎 Affected Accounts (Confirmed) - All Events noted are the events being converted
- Wings Event Center (NA Prod - EB Classic conversion) - Event: 579-65-55209
- The Bushnell (NA Prod – observed onsite - Spreadsheet conversion) - Event: 23173
- Dr. Phillips (Sandbox - Spreadsheet conversion) - Event: 3012
- Jekyll Island Convention Center (NA Prod - EB Classic conversion) - Event: 23-12-591-46486
- Arapahoe County Fairgrounds (NA Prod, fresh start account) - Event: 386-A
It is not occurring in these converted accounts though:
- DeBartolo PAC (Spreadsheet conversion)
- Horizon Convention Center (Spreadsheet conversion)
👉 This confirms the issue is not limited by environment or conversion type.
⚠️ What’s Happening
When attempting to copy an event:
- Users receive the error:
“An error occurred while processing your request.” - Despite the error:
- The event still gets created, but
- It is automatically placed in Inquiry status (even when copying to Prospect or another status)
- In some cases:
- Unexpected double-booking/conflict warnings appear even when no conflicts exist
- Behavior may vary by event (some copy successfully, others do not)
🧪 Steps to Reproduce -
- https://scribehow.com/viewer/Copying_an_Event_Error__ki_g4iKNT8y0u4CStV-Ekg
- Navigate to an existing event
- Open the event slider
- Select Copy Event
- Choose a future date
- (Optional) Select Copy to Prospect or other status
- Click Save
Result:
- Error message appears: “An error occurred while processing your request.”
- Event is still created, but shows as an Inquiry
✅ Expected Behavior
- Event copies successfully
- No error message
- Event retains the selected status (e.g., Prospect)
- No false conflict/double-booking warnings
-
Elizabeth Fox Is the above information enough to raise a bug? This continues to happen across customer accounts.
-
Hayley Burkhardt Michelle Hannaford , sorry I missed this. Thank you for consolidating! The only other thing I'd ask is to note if there are any differences due to user booking level permissions, or not? Otherwise, yes, this is great detail!
-
Hi Elizabeth Fox - please see below the user roles for those experiencing the issues:
Wings - Full Access
Bushnell - Full Access
Arapahoe - Full Access
I am just waiting to hear back from the team on Jekyll and Dr. Philips - will be sure to update you once I hear. Thank you for your help!
-
Thanks Rebecca Nolph ! Jekyll Island was also Full Access
-
Thanks! If you will include that info in your consolidated submission, just raise it to support for a bug.
