Welcome to the Documentus Best Practices forums! Remember all those Yammer posts, side chats, Teams channels, you name it, where discussion happened? Now you can have that discussion here in the Best Practices forum where the conversation will be visible to all and searchable afterwards.
If you have product and implementation knowledge, please respond to posts! We need to share knowledge so everyone can learn.
Before You Post
Before you create a new post, please take a moment to search first:
- Search on Documentus to see if the question has already been asked or if there are existing education resources.
- Check the Knowledge Base, Learning Center, best practice documentation, and other internal documentation.
Suggested Information for Posts
When you post in the Best Practice forums, please include the information below so the community can get as much context as possible to understand your question:
- Account name
- Region
- Client version (Enterprise)
- Description of the issue
- What does the client want to do? Why do they want to do this?
- Please give a descriptive user story. Often clients want to solve a problem by doing X. If we know the problem, sometimes it can be solved via Y.
- What does the client want to do? Why do they want to do this?
- What you've already tried or suggested. Why does this not work?
- Business impact if not resolved
- Attach relevant files (such as screenshots)
- Links to articles where you've looked for solutions and also other steps you've taken to research the issue.
We recommend tagging a senior member of your team or a coworker who you think may have some insight, rather than relying on notifications. To tag, type the @ symbol and begin typing their name. Don't put their name in the Tags field; that's for tagging articles for search purposes. If you can't tag someone, they have never posted in the forums. Send them a link to the post instead and once they reply you'll be able to tag them in the future.
Not sure who to tag? See the PDF attached at the top of this article. This is a list exported from Kantata listing skills and who is versed in them. If a product is not specified in the Skills column, assume Enterprise.
Replying to Posts
While the product team may be a part of the discussion, the purpose of the best practices forum is not simply to get an answer from the product team - they aren't the people working with clients day in and day out. We need your knowledge!
If you're having these conversations in Teams chats, please move them to Documentus so other people can learn and contribute. All employees have access to this platform, so let's have the discussion here rather than in a private chat that new employees have to discover by chance.
