Alerus Center: Board View Checklist Validation Bypass Issue

Issue Summary

The team thinks we might have found a bug in the board view of the Alerus Center's WeTrack system. Jobs can be marked complete even if required checklist items are unfinished. This bypasses validation that works correctly in the detail view.

Environment Details

  • Site URL: Alerus Center - aleruscenter.wetrack.com
  • Affected Users: Discovered by Chase McDermott (Chase.McDermott@oakviewgroup.com) during training and recreated by Hayley 

Reproduction Steps

  1. Create a job with required checklist items.
  2. Leave some required checklist items incomplete.
  3. Attempt to mark the job complete from the detail view—this correctly blocks completion.
  4. Switch to the board view and drag the job to the "Complete" column—this incorrectly allows completion.

Verification

Chase identified this issue during a board view review in training, and Hayley confirmed it by recreating the scenario. We’re flagging this for the product team to review and determine whether this is an intended behavior or a bug, as the validation isn’t enforced in the board view.

    Hi Vernica Lodha is there any updates that can be shared with the customer on this one?

    Megan Fontenot this is more complex since on the list view, the information of whether required checks are completed or not cannot be fetched - would make the data load incredibly slow. We are thinking of solutions but would request users to please go to details page for now. Any solution would also take time to go live. thanks!

    Totally understand and appreciate the heads up on the runway needed for a production fix. Are there any updates that we can share with the client team?

    Can we request them to close the job from the details page for now, please? We are working on a fix and it should be live sometime in March.
