OSB w/ Order Processing: Additional Item Note text formating
Refer to Product IdeasLooking for confirmation that the HTML version of our notes are NOT supported in Order Processing when displaying the Additional Item Note for the price list item. Client wants to display bulleted list in note body and OP through OSB doesn't appear to respect the bullets. I was unable to find any article that explicitly confirms that behavior. I'll check with engineering

I have seen this same behavior in previous implementations.

Tony, i checked with engineering and confirmed this is an enhancement.
That said, could you explain the goals of adding html in notes for your customer? Is it making the text easier to read, or more than that?
From engineering:
"Supporting rich text in that field has significant impacts on layout of the page since customers can do whatever they want with HTML there. I think it warrants more thought than just "support it". For instance, we had an enhancement on the backlog to support a completely custom product information section below the price area for details information or manufacturer copy that customers wanted to display."
“That field really wasnt meant for complex, rich text and HTML because anything complicated will push the pricing and add-to-cart buttons way down the page”

yeah, Seth Halvaksz i'm not saying pursue as an enhancement, just confirmation that i'm not missing something.
Use Case: Venue offers a Food/Beverage Menu Item which has a note with bulleted text that itemizes the ingredients/components of the menu. They currently offer it through backoffice ordering and catering sales managers can add to order and the menu prints on our reports nicely in a readable format. The online presentation does not include the bulleting so the menu ingredients are all strung together in one long runon string.
Thx for the confirmation, I can go back and work with client on a better solution for their need now within the constraints of our options. It'll likely be a separate price list just for the online ordering so we can have a different note used.

Thanks Tony for the context. If you don't mind adding in Pendo as an enhancement for tracking (so we have all enhancement requests in one place).

Hello Seth Halvaksz – OTPP is reporting a similar case in ticket: https://ungerboeck.zendesk.com/agent/tickets/386073, and I came across this related post. You mentioned that there is an enhancement on the backlog to support fully custom product information. Can you please share the link to that enhancement request? I’d like to link my case to that request. Thanks in advance!

I searched Pendo but did not find this enhancement

Edwin Hernandez go ahead and create and post here. We can link the feedback.

Seth Halvaksz - I checked with Tony, and the Pendo request wasn’t submitted since the client ended up using a different note. I’ll go ahead and create the request in Pendo and post it here for tracking. Thanks for checking on this.
