As we continue improving and refining the new user experience (UX) introduced in release 24.4, we’ve identified several known issues affecting various functionalities. This article aims to provide our internal teams with a clear summary of these challenges to ensure alignment and transparency. Understanding these issues will help us respond to internal and external feedback effectively and prioritize fixes.
1. Deep Links Not Opening a New Page
- Description: Deep links currently fail to open in a new browser page as expected.
- Impact: Users who rely on deep links for navigation from emails or other sources must manually navigate back to their starting point.
- Status: Will be released in 25.1.
2. URLs in Emails Not Routing Properly
- Description: Email notifications and embedded links may not redirect users to the correct location within the application.
- Impact: This could disrupt workflows that depend on automated notifications or shared links.
- Status: Will be released in 25.1
3. Booking Restrictions
- Description: Users are unable to create or edit existing Booking Restriction Conditions
- Impact: Users cannot access the Booking Restriction Conditions tab and thus cannot make changes or create new conditions.
- Status: Will be released in 24.4
4. Quick Quotes
- Description: Users are unable to create Quick Quotes
- Impact: Slows down the process of generating quick estimates for customers.
- Status: Will be released in 25.1
5. Dashboard Reports: Chart and Pivot Tables Do Not Fit Properly in Modals
- Description: Charts and pivot tables displayed in modals are not correctly formatted, causing visibility and usability challenges.
- Impact: Reduced accessibility of key insights when viewed in modals.
- Workaround: These elements can still be viewed correctly on the full dashboards or reports pages.
- Status: Will be released in 24.4
6. RESOLVED: Floor Planning
- Description: Floor plans are inaccessible in New UI.
- Impact: When selecting to view a floor plan a new tab is opened and nothing is displayed. Users cannot view or edit floor plans when working in the new UI.
- Status: Schedule for 24.4 patch
7. RESOLVED: Scrolling on Mobile Dashboards
- Description: Users experience difficulty scrolling through dashboards on mobile devices, particularly when dashboards contain extensive data.
- Impact: Hinders mobile usability for dashboard review.
- Workaround: Viewing dashboards on desktop devices can provide a smoother experience.
- Status: Scheduled for 24.4 patch
8. RESOLVED: Multi-Select Options (Chips) Disappear on Focus
- Description: When a multi-select field is in focus, selected items (chips) are removed from the input field and only displayed in the dropdown list.
- Impact: This may cause confusion for users who expect to see their selections clearly displayed in the input field while editing.
- Workaround: Users can confirm selections in the dropdown list to ensure their choices remain intact.
- Status: Scheduled for 24.4 patch
9. RESOLVED: New UI Not Displaying When NEWUI Role Is Added
- Description: Users with the
NEWUIrole may not see the new UI as expected. The issue stems from the web server's inability to communicate with LaunchDarkly due to the Secrets Manager not being configured correctly in AWS. - Impact: Affected users are unable to access the redesigned interface, delaying adoption and usability testing.
- Workaround: No immediate workaround is available.
- Status: IT added the secret to AWS. If this error is still found. Coordinate with IT to review the webconfig.
