Function script is creating wrong functions

  • Description of the issue: Function Scripting is creating incorrect functions across the full event date range instead of the selected booking usage date range. Function Scripting ignores the actual booking date range. When running a script with Booking Usage = Inflyttning and using Add one function per booking and Per Day, the system creates functions for the entire event date range rather than only the dates associated with the selected booking usage.

  • Steps to reproduce:
    - Create a 6-day event (e.g. Event ID: 15401 08/01/29 - 08/06/29)

    - Add three bookings: Hall A-A from 08/01–08/03 with Usage = Inflyttning; Hall A-B from 08/04–08/05 with Usage = Genomförande; Hall A-C on 08/06 with Usage = Utflyttning:

    - Go to the Functions tab, open the Level 1 function's row menu, and select Script:

    - In the Function Scripting panel, choose "Script Indented," select "Add one function per booking," check "Per Day," set Booking Usages to only "Inflyttning" and leave Class as Open → Save

    - 6 functions are generated instead of 3 — one for every day from 08/01 through 08/06, all labeled Inflyttning and all placed in the Inflyttning booking's space, even though 08/04–08/06 belong to Genomförande and Utflyttning.

  • Observed results vs Expected results: Functions should only be created for the booking with usage Inflyttning.
    Since the Inflyttning booking spans 08/01/2029 - 08/03/2029, only 3 daily functions should be created.
  • What is the job the client is trying to accomplish: They want to create functions using the script
  • Business impact if not resolved: This is creating a lot of manual work that is taking time in a busy period

    Why do you think only 3 functions should be created? The usages drop down isn't a filter, it's setting the usage on the created functions. This all seems to be working correctly to me.
