Asset PE275
Description of the Issue:
Upfront → The Ticket is already in the Consulting Queue but they require Feedback first.
Here's the situation:
Asset PE275 on the asset register was credited. Client changed the Accumulated Depreciation to be £1,280.00 and therefore fully depreciated.
The Audit Log only shows the below

The Asset Transaction Inquiry shows no activity for the day

The Asset Register only shows only PE275 changed today

After changing the Accumulated Depreciation, they went into the Journal Entries - Fixed Assets, clicked Add Journal Entry, named the journal PE275, selected Depreciation as the Distribution Type, clicked Save, then in the Actions dropdown, they selected Tools > Generate Journal.
They know that £1,020.95 of the $2,057.14 relates to PE275, but £1.036.19 relates to something else in the Plant & Equipment Major Group, and as it created the journal automatically, they don't have a batch to reference the details

They did this 3 times in the TEST environment and it did the same on the initial test, here it brought in an additional amount, but then the 3 times after this has worked as expected.
Please review the journal descriptions PECS315 Fixed Asset - Journal Entry CS316 and PE275 as evidence of this.
Could you please advise how we can check to find out what makes up the additional balance?

Easiest way to check what makes up a journal entry is the asset transaction inquiry - by showing the journal entry columns.
If there is no filter available currently by this - let us know and we can consider adding one - but for now you should be able to add filters to get it reasonably down to a lower number of records and export to excel to filter from there.
NOTE: The “Date” on an adjustment to the accumulated depreciation by default will always use the Last Depreciated Date -
As suggested by Samy Kheloufi tagging Ryan Ungerboeck Marley Kezerian Pieter Du Plooy Clotilda Chuonyo for input on this.
…and usual Tier3:
Nicole Loh Pieter Fourie Mike Schepker Satya Ram Nukala
