Daily Revenue and Cost Analysis Report
The Venetian would like to report revenue by department and by day, rather than a span of multiple days.
We pointed them to the Daily Revenue and Cost Analysis window but the only data that appears there is from 2007 and 2008.
The article implies that they need to run the GL Distribution rules over service orders items to calculate not only where revenue (and/or costs) will be coded in the GL but also to break up multi day charges (such as venue hire) into daily figures.
The customer would like to know if there is any collateral damage they should be aware of if the run the GL Distribution rules.

Hey Amy Durbin, there shouldn't be any impacts since we're just prompting the system to show the expected GL distribution. This wont post anything to the GL. Ryan Ungerboeck can confirm, but I'm fairly certain.

- How often should it be run? Monthly? Weekly?
- Do users need to be logged out when it's running?
- Can they run it for all of their historical data?
They tried to run it in UAT today but stopped it after about 10 minutes when they realized that the date setting didn't respond as they thought it would.
They set the Start date of 3/1/25 and set the days out as 31. They expected the End Date to reflect 3/31/25 but it shows 5/7/26 and it's not adjustable.
