Change Tracking - Professional license needed
Hi team,
Is indeed the intention of Change Tracking that it is only accessible via a Professional license?
According to our best practice for Delivery and Operational departments (Work Orders - Work Order Items - Mobile Work Order) assigning an Express user is sufficient. I would think that Change Tracking also fits into this workflow, as these departments can see whether changes have been made to the items to be delivered.
With the New Packaging, where unlimited licenses are included, that won't be much of an issue. However, the customer must review all roles for the professional features that become available to which the role in question should not have access.
Can you explain what the business case is?

Laura - an update on this:
1) The ability to edit change tracking rules currently requires a professional license, as this feature is used by admins.
2) For viewing in-app notifications for change tracking, we are investigating if this can be updated to an Express User license. Rich to provide an update on this by Feb 5.
3) In the interim, any user configured on the change tracking rules page can receive emails. This does not require a license to receive the emails.

Laura de Jong This business case is that we needed to wall off certain functionality from all users - create rules, set configurations, etc…
Notifications are tied to his main system.
I am working with engineering to see how we might split this out.
