Cancel one item in Package while keeping the Price the same
Refer to Product IdeasHi team,
I am looking for a suggestion for the following business case: the team has sold a Package, with currently three items in it, see example below. The total price of the package is 113,50 - based on Price Package per Package Details.

Now, the customer wants to cancel the laptop just one day before the meeting and the venue decided that the customer still needs to pay for it due to the last minute change. So they would like to keep the price on 113,50 - but make sure the laptop is not on the list of Work Order Items for the operational teams.
My options so far:
1. Update the Order Item Status to another open status like, ‘Do not Deliver’. I can update the views for the Operational Teams, but the item will still show on the Mobile Work Order.
(Richard Marmura tagging you since this could be something for the MWO: have an option in the Mobile Work Order Configuration which Item Statuses you want to show)
2. I can cancel the item, but this will update my price. As alternative I can think of using the Package Model to add a resource called Cancellation Fee, add the rate and than cancel the laptop. This makes sure the item will not be visible on the Mobile Work Order.
But is there any other quicker way in general for items which needs to be invoiced but not delivered? The ‘Ordered Only’ is only available on the Resource itself, I didn't find a way to update this on the Service Order Item itself.

It sounds like setting the “Order Item Status” to “Do Not Deliver” is a good option, but it would be an enhancement to not show in Mobile Work Orders. I would add that as an enhancement request regardless of Tony's response.

Anthony Costantino could you add a 100 % surcharge to the item to be cancelled. And call it a cancellation surcharge. Then cancel the item. I “think” the charge will stay on (at least it looks that way when I run a service order confirmation.
