General
Business impact if not resolved: Minimal, but when entries are overridden when saved, it wastes time. Users must catch the fact that their entry was overridden and edit to make the changes again.
Short Summary of issue (issue description): When adding a function with an "Internal" Class, and then changing it to "Open", the Class reverts to Internal when saving.

Expected: The Class would remain as edited, Open
What does the client want to accomplish: Ensure that classes being edited in functions remain as they are so they are not set incorrectly.

Seth Halvaksz - I did some further testing in QE and I think this is a code issue and a Jira should be created as the behavior is inconsistent.
For example - when I inserted a Function with an Open usage and updated it to Internal, it stuck with the Internal when I saved it the first time.
But when I inserted a Function with a Reserved usage and updated it to Open, it reverted back to Reserved with the first save. However after it saved the first time as Reserved, I was then able to save it as Open.

Cathy, i chatted with Carissa Harrison (who is in a car so couldn't check on her computer) and she thinks this is a 25.1 bug that was resolved in more recent version or patch. When are they upgrading to 25.2?
-
Isaiah Otto - see Seth's last message - is this behavior still occurring in 25.2 or 25.3? You can use a QA environment to check.
-
I think this is correct, I cannot get this to reproduce in 25.2. Should I recommend to the client that this is fixed in their next major upgrade?
Kind Regards,
Isaiah Otto
-
Isaiah Otto - yes, tell them that this behavior was no longer occurring on 25.2. upgrade to a supported version.
