Prepaid commitments within contracts

Amir from Olympia described a need for managing prepaid commitments within contracts. The goal is to include ancillary revenue items like connectivity, under a prepaid model that offers.

The desired process is:

• A minimum amount is committed upfront in the contract (e.g. for connectivity).
• This prepaid amount is visible in Momentus.
• As the event progresses and more services are requested (e.g. power, internet), the users can track usage against the prepaid amount.
• If the client spends more than the committed amount, the overage is invoiced.
• If the client spends less, the remaining amount is retained as part of the minimum commitment.
• In certain cases, the remaining funds may need to be refunded or reallocated to a different cost center (e.g. if a department overestimates usage).

Amir clarified that they are not looking for a custom solution, they want to know if existing Momentus functionality can support this type of prepaid budget allocation and tracking directly in the system.

Can Momentus support this model using native features (e.g. through contract items, budget tracking, reporting, or financial allocation tools)? If so, what would be the recommended approach?
