Booking Roles / OSB - Site Access Denied
- Description of the issue: Working on testing Booking Roles w/ OSB configuration in advance of UT Austin Project. When no booking roles are assigned to the OSB configuration, users are able to access to OSB site without issue. When booking roles are assigned (with the target contacts added to role), an error displays that says “Access Denied - You do not have permission to access this page.” As soon as the booking roles are removed from the OSB, the site is accessible.

- Account name: Momentus Master Demo
- Client version: 25.2
- Local URL: https://masterdemo.ungerboeck.net/PROD/app85.cshtml#/events?data=4779ec31f553ff495afacfcf0efa9be70e8e
-
Steps to reproduce:
- Login to Seabreeze Conference Center OSB Site (to confirm initial access)
- Add contact to "Seabreeze Conference Center" booking role
- Assign “Seabreeze Conference Center Staff” Booking Role in OSB Configuration (Seabreeze Conference Center)
- Login to Seabreeze COnference Center OSB Site (to test access w/ booking role assigned)
- Observed results vs Expected results: Contacts should have access to login to site in both instances as long as they are added to booking role.
-
What is the job the client is trying to accomplish:
- UT Austin will be using booking roles to assign to OSB configurations and assign to specific spaces using Space Classes.
- Business impact if not resolved: Will not be able to move forward with project configuration (in August/September)

Luke, per our process you should first tag some of the senior implementation consultants on your question

Hi Seth. My apologies, I didn't see that in posting best practices. I reviewed this with Jeremy Elmore and he confirmed it is not expected behavior. Anthony Costantino Hayley Burkhardt Justin Wittrock

Luke Ahrens I don't have access to the client site and can't see in your screenshots - you do have space classes assigned to the booking role, yes?
Also, we're working on updating our best practices (after using Documentus for a year!). Once we've hammered that out, I'll update those and let everyone know. 🙂

@... I did assign space classes to the booking roles, and also to the corresponding spaces. All my testing for this is in Master Demo. I only referenced UT Austin because that was the project I was looking at when trying to build out this use case in Master Demo. I attached a screenshot of the screenshots below.
No worries about the best practices, everything that is in there is very helpful! I just started a few weeks ago, so the only processes I know are what's listed in the best practices documentation. 🙂

I figured you had, but that's all I could think of (I literally wrote the article on this when it was released), it looks like everything else is covered. If this isn't a bug, I'll be updating the KB with what was missed.

Mike Schepker or Cathy Herrick this is an older bug thread - could one of you take a look at this?
