Outlook Calendar Integration

OTPP sent a list of questions regarding the integration. The product team responded after a call we had with them. The OTPP team has a follow-up question regarding the response we sent.
Initial questions and response from Momentus
- Follow-up with engineering on Teams meeting creation using application permissions
- Momentus response: When booking events in Momentus and syncing them to Outlook, the meeting will be created on either the “Event Creator’s Calendar” or the “Default Event Organizer’s Calendar” (provide email if choosing this option). Teams meetings will be created on the corresponding calendar in Outlook as long as the setting is enabled - and testing on our side shows that the organiser can edit the meeting options in this case (see below)
OTPP follow-up question:
I believe in order to reduce the risk we plan on scoping the permissions to the room resource accounts only. How does this affect the Teams meeting creation and access to the Meeting options, and what are Momentus' thoughts around this?

Limiting Microsoft Graph API permissions to only room resource accounts will affect Teams meeting creation capabilities in the Momentus Outlook Integration. When meetings are created and synced from Momentus to Outlook, the Teams meeting component will still be created, but access to meeting options will be restricted since the integration will only have permissions for the room accounts and not the event creator's account. This approach increases security by minimizing permission scope but reduces functionality for meeting organizers.
