New UI - FYP Field No Longer Displaying Period Status on GL Inquiry Page

• Description of the issue: When accessing GL Inquiry or GL Transaction Inquiry pages the field ‘Financial Year - Period' is no longer displaying the period status (e.g. current, open, closed) and/or associated color coding:

green = current

black = closed

blue = open

This is visible in 25.1 Classic UI but is missing from New UI

• Account name: Venues Otautahi
• Region: AP
• Client version: 25.1
• Steps to reproduce: 

1. Login as:

SRICKENBACHER138
123456

2. Click Main Menu > Search for ‘GL Inquiry' page and open

3. Review General Ledger Inquiry > Set View to VO Balance Sheet for testing (*note other views have same issue)

Note ‘FINANCIAL YEAR - PERIOD does not have a status column or colour indication (e.g. open, closed, current)

4. Repeat for ‘GL Transaction Inquiry’ page

• Observed results vs Expected results:  New UI no longer shows FYP Period status/colour coding under GL Inquiry/GL Transaction Enquiry pages:

• What is the job the client is trying to accomplish: Closure of fiscal periods/financial reporting
• Business impact if not resolved: Users are unable to see if a fiscal period is closed or not which causes confusion and may lead to errors or delays with financial reporting/fiscal period closure process

  This was an intentional decision as for accessibility we have made the decision to not rely on colors to determine the period status. . I think if it is that useful - we can have UX look at alternatives or to consider re-introducing the colors for this “nice to have” purpose of easily determining if the period selected is closed / current / or open.

  FYI they are not so concerned with the colour-coding, but they would like the text indicator back for this field e.g. 2025-11 (Current)
