Are Transaction Method and Transaction Type Both Required for Data Import?

When a user was trying to import some data that contained a particular transaction type, he kept getting the following error.

However, when he provided both the Transaction Method and Transaction Type for that corresponding type, he could then import the data successfully.

As per Bank Statement Imports article, only the Transaction Type is mentioned in the Importing a Bank Statement process. Could someone please confirm if both Transaction Type and Transaction Method are required for a successful import, so we can update the article accordingly?
