Add custom field in the edit task window

  • Description of the issue
    • What does the client want to do? Why do they want to do this?
      • Client wants to add custom field in Main menu > Task > Edit task window
      • They want to add a drop down with options to be displayed in edit window of the task. Ex: a task status drop down with approve/awaiting/complete options
      • Currently this cannot be achieved in this window. Please advise.
  • What you've already tried or suggested. Why does this not work?
    • Tried to add but does not locate the custom fields created for this window
    • Is this window not designed for the same? Suggest any workaround

    Martin Wooding not sure if you can help here; I'm not sure how these tasks are used by our customers.  I know we have many different types of tasks.

    Anitha Khairnar What is an example of how they are using the task?

    My best guess from looking at the screenshot:

    Are these tasks sent from the Venue (MECC) to the Event Organizer?

    In the screenshot - Is the venue asking the Event Organizer to upload images for the Event?

    If so, how does this task get completed? Is it manually completed by the Venue?

    Tasks & Task Sets are part of the event portal and are client based.

     Tasks are created by MECC in an event, this then pulling through to the event portal for the client to action, this could be complete a form, upload images, download information or just a prompt to do something in the Event Portal.

     For the client it is reasonably straight forward, upload images and mark the task as complete. The problem is on MECC side in the event there is no option for them to say that they have actioned what the client has completed.

    If the client fills in a form and loads it back into the Event portal task, Marks the task as complete, we can see this but there is no option for the MECC team anywhere in a task to say they have actioned this form. So hence they need a field to filter.

    Thanks Anitha Khairnar for confirming this is for Event Portal tasks.

    It sounds like you're already aware this does not exist in the product.  If you know that, you can open an enhancement request in Pendo. Could you please open an enhancement request?  Please add the link to this post.
