Payment Portal V2 - Sign-up
AnsweredHello team,
One of our customers PCM (Palais des Congrès de Montreal) who is transitioning from Payment Portal V1 to V2 has been using the "Public Sign-up" feature for multiple years in V1, which allows new exhibitor users to create their own accounts when accessing the payment portal. However with the move to Payment Portal V2, this functionality seems to no longer be available.
Without this feature, their new exhibitor users would need to call customer service to access the payment portal, which is a significant operational setback for them. Given that this is critical to their user experience, they are seeking an explanation for why this capability has been removed and whether there is any workaround or solution that would allow new users to create accounts in V2.
Could you please clarify ?
Thanks,
Aurel

Hey Aurel, re-looking at Payment Portal - Version 1 configuration, i don't think “Sign Up” option ever existed for standalone platform. It was always a sign-in if i recall correctly, where the code could be appended at the end of the link to bypass the login process. How were they accessing the Payment Portal previously?

Hello Himanshu,
thanks for your reply ! It helped clarify a misunderstanding between the client and me.
Exhibitors were accessing the payment portal via ESC and the client mistakenly believed that the sign-in/sign-up configuration on the standalone Payment Portal would also control the ESC login, which is not the case.
I'll explain this to them and provide the correct configuration window to control the sign-in/sign-up options for ESC.
