Event Functions: Reset to Hierarchy option missing when using scrip from event

• Description of the issue: Unable to use “Reset to Hierarchy” when using "Script from Event | Search Event Functions"
• Account name: City of Sydney
• Region: APAC
• Client version: 2024.1
• Steps to reproduce:
  1. Select an Event with Function Scripting>Edit Event
  2. On Functions Tab>Select Level 1 Function (Base Function where you'll be adding function scripting)>Right Click
  3. Select “Script from Event” option>Script from Event | Search Event Functions screen opens up
  4. Search for an event by entering event name>Click Search
  5. Note - The functions list appear without any formatting or hierarchy. On the left hand side box, the option of “Reset to Hierarchy” is not available.

  6. If sorted by "Level" Column, the hierarchy information is not displayed where customer cannot see which function lines to be brought over.

     

• Observed results vs Expected results:
  • Observed Result - Customer is unable to “reset function hierarchy” by using the option of Reset when using the option of Script from Event.
  • Expected Result - Customer is expecting the “Reset to Hierarchy” button is available on Script from Event screen, allowing users to select appropriate functions as per function scripting done for the event.
• What is the job the client is trying to accomplish: Customer is trying to find an easier way to bring the function scripting across from a previous event by looking at function scripting in place.
• Business impact if not resolved: It requires lot of clicks and review to select which functions needs to be brought across. In this case, customer have to go through 272 function lines to select which ones should be copied across.

  This will need to be treated as an enhancement request.  This will take some thinking on the Engineering side.  We don't let you copy the “booking/planning” function so there is a chance that the parent of a function is not displayed.
