A customer is the contracting account in Salesforce. Each customer must be mapped to a Salesforce account using the 15-digit account ID. This mapping is critical for the Connect purchase workflow and paves the way for personalizing Connect for customers in the future.
You must be a Super User to map customers.
To map a customer to a Salesforce Account:
- Get the 15-digit account ID:
- In Zendesk, go to the customer org. The 18-digit ID is in the Salesforce ID (SF) field. Truncate it as in the image above to have the 15-digit ID.
- In Salesforce, I cannot find a field for this on the Account page, but when you are on the account page the ID is in the URL.
- Navigate to Momentus Connect. The Customer Selection Page displays.
- Search for and select the customer. The Customer Dashboard displays.
- Click Edit Customer.
- [I assume there's a Salesforce ID field here that you pop the ID into]
- Click Save.
