API access to Purchase Order user fields (UDF)
Description of the Issue:
Client is trying to read and update a user-defined field (UDF) on Purchase Orders through the API, and is running into a limitation.
The field is the "Comptabilisé" (Y/N) UDF, part of the custom field group attached to Purchase Orders (Class I / Type 1, field UserText01).
The customer is unable to read or update a Purchase Order user-defined field (UDF) via the v1 API, receiving an error that the PurchaseOrders endpoint does not allow user fields, though the same syntax works for Accounts. We found out that according to current documentation, Purchase Order UDFs are not supported by the v1 API and suggested verifying tenant-specific API references or alternative APIs like OData. The customer now requests an official confirmation that PO UDFs cannot be accessed via any API in their tenant.
As per TS document Enterprise UDFs Custom Field Reference Guide, Purchase Orders UDF are not present in the API subject List
Refer Custom Fields Table which are exposed to API
1. Can a Purchase Order header UDF (UserText01) be read and/or written through the API, via the v1 API or any other surface?
2. If not, could you please confirm that Purchase Order UDFs are not exposed by the API, so client can rule it out and move to an alternative on their side?
