Bulk Undo Check Out gives error

Business impact if not resolved: There are too many checked-out documents, which frustrates users.
Short Summary of issue (issue description): Customer would like to do a regular Undo checkout from Find Documents. They can Undo Check Out for single entries; however, an error is thrown when trying to undo checkout for bulk entries.

Recreation Steps:
- In the Main Menu, go to Find Documents
- Click More filters > Clear all
- In Status, select Checked Out
- Click Apply Filters
- Click column heading Changed On to sort by change date
- User Ctrl or Shift to select multiple documents
- Right-click and choose Undo Checkout
- Click Yes in Undo Check Out popup
- An error is diplayed:
An error has been encountered. Please try your request again.
Observed vs. Expected Results: It does not seem to be possible to undo check out on multiple documents.
What does the client want to accomplish: The customer would like to clean up Find Documents.

What's the error in the weblog?
When I've seen this happen in the past the workaround has been to find the one causing the issue (keep trying smaller selections until you don't get the error) and then check in the “problematic” one individually.

There is no error in the weblog. When trying to Undo Check Out on smaller sections / individual documents, they all seem to have one version that is checked out but are still showing the Action Error: “All of the selected documents are already checked in or not versioned.” I have found this in older tickets, and this was fixed as a bug before. What do you think?
