I think an official statement on why this is not possible, would probably come from Product directly…

You cannot import activities directly into backoffice. However I think Consulting or Technical Services could.

Please open a Product Feedback and post link here for reference.

I'm curious why they want to import activities.  Are they migrating from another system?

  • Dominik Obelöer

Client just moved from on prem to the cloud but I asked for a bit more context in order to have a proper use case.

  • Dominik Obelöer

    Here's the clients reply:
"The business case would be as follows:
For example, a project manager attends an external trade show and speaks with exhibitors or potential new exhibitors. The results of these conversations are recorded in Excel (due to the lack of mobile access to EBMS in V24.2). The Excel file is then to be imported into EBMS as activities."

BUT they are currently working on their own solution via API. As of that I closed the ticket and they also did not want me to issue an enhancement for this.

    Thanks for the information.

Tagging Carissa Harrison on this, i think this use case will be covered by Sales AI

  • Carissa Harrison

This is not possible for Enterprise activities.

Sales AI will record & summary email threads, meetings, text notes & audio notes. For each of these the app will understand the context and update any fields if necessary.
