I've passed this question to engineering.

    Response from engineering:

"No, we do not support dot-matrix printers. That is a very specific enhancement. The only printing that we support out of the box is standard printers.

    • Regular Printers: Modern software and operating systems generate rich, formatted documents (like PDFs or HTML files). The computer translates these into complex visual maps or page description languages (like PCL or PostScript) that tell the printer exactly where to place every single microscopic dot.
    • Dot-Matrix Printers: They are traditionally designed to receive raw text (ASCII) directly from a computer. To change formatting (like making text bold, condensed, or forcing a page break), Momentus has to send specific, legacy control codes—most famously ESC/P (Epson Standard Code for Printers)."
