Custom Report and Links setup / Event ID
Refer to Product IdeasDescription of the Issue:
Client has configured a custom report or link for Work order items in Events, like underneath which is not working as expected.

They did configure an Action or link field in Events, like underneath.

And added the column on Events.

When we select the link, marked blue, the result is a new window with the configured filters in the view. But it isn’t selecting or adding the event to the filters. They would expect the Event Field then to be automatically filled with “Money 20/20 Europe 2026” which it does not.
See underneath the result.

They would like to see the result as it is when you go to Work Order Items in the Event/from the Event. Like this:

My best guess is that this is a configuration issue. Maybe based in the command you see in the first screenshot?
How can they accomplish what they want?

I think you might need to include the event ID parameter in the URL.
-
Where would I need to do that? You mean directly in the command in the configuration?
-
Yes. I don't know if we have what parameters are supported documented anywhere. This is not typically something support works with. Maybe Tech Services would have a list.
-
Had a chat about this with TS and PS.
They generally state that working via command is outdated.
As client wants to do this for Work Order Items here, the only working parameter for them is the OrgCode:
On the other hand for Service Order Items it would be possible:

As this is outdated, is there anyways the chance at all that this will be changed? Would you know of any workaround? My only idea would be to work with a view and link it to a Dashboard as easy access is the clients aim.

Dominik Obelöer Sounds like this is outside the scope of support and would need to go to consulting then.

Feedback Consulting:
“sorry but this needs to go to dev. Customer knows how to configure it. It is not only about creating this they also need to maintain it and as they wrote this is not an option for them”
If this is to be Enahncement so be it. I'd like to prevent issuing this ending up getting an Enhancement anyways.
Seth Halvaksz what do you think of this? -
Dominik Obelöer please start a teams thread with the contact from TS and PS and we can discuss next steps there
-
As discussed in teams chat, this is an enhancement/feature. Please submit to Pendo.

“this is a crystal report looking at MM060_PARAMETERS and US697_WDW_PARMS”
“based on US697_WDW_ID”

“Not all windows are hooked up to use URL parameters. So this is technically a feature gap that we can identify in other places as well.”
“I would like to invest a little bit of actual time into this so we can discover all of this missing metadata. I do not think we even need a code change, just metadata change.”
