Custom Field Formula - Cuts off after you save

Hi Team, 

My customer, EICC (Edinburgh International Conference Centre) recently noticed that when they add a custom field formula and then save, half of the formula gets cut off automatically upon saving. The formula works as expected however, half of the formula disappears (below image of original formula when inserted)

Is there any reason this is happening? 

The customer noted that missing some of the formula would become a problem if you ever needed to change the formula for any reason. 

I am unsure if this is a new or old issue, depending on a specific release version. The customer is on  26.12026052101. The customer only recently started to notice this behaviour with the formulas.
