Excel Reporting Add In - Unresponsive Budget Retrieval

  • Description of the issue: In a Financial Template Document, there is a column retrieval on column M Annual Budget which works fine, but when the user double clicks on the retrieval to drill down for the transactional detail, nothing happens. The retrieval works fine with other columns and the transaction detail is properly displayed.
  • Account name: Olympia London
  • Region: EMEA
  • Client version: 25.4

  • Steps to reproduce:
    - From Main menu go to  Financial Template Documents
    - Search for Venue Summary: 2026-05 and view the document so Excel opens
    - Click on Ungerboeck Reporting Tab and hit run button from left top corner
    - Verify details over popup and click ok button:

    - Right Click on M8 column (Annual Budget)  → Click Retrievals as per below screenshot:

    - Double click on the marked entry and nothing happens:

    - However, if you repeat the same steps on I8 column (YTD Actual), the below screen opens as soon as you double click the marked entry above:

  • Observed results vs Expected results: The M8 column drill down should work and data should be visible same as I8 column.
  • What is the job the client is trying to accomplish: They want to drill down into the budget transactions.

    Since we can drill using YTD actual and see the data, i would expect the same behavior for Annual budget field.  I think this is a bug,

    I think it might be a bug as well. Samuel Davidson Does this sound familiar at all or was your Reporting issue different?

    What are you expecting the annual budget to show when drilling down? I don't know what the cell definition of that M8 is, but if it's just pulling in a budget amount from a GL I'm not sure it would have a bunch of journal entries like an actual table would. 

    I think you would need to confirm where that amount is coming from in Momentus and then determine if there should be multiple transactions showing in the drill down. If so, then it sounds like a bug.

    Did this field work in previous versions of the software, did it suddenly “break”? Is it working on latest version of software? 
    Have we tried formatting that same retrieval into another cell to see if it works? 

    If only one cell isn't working and everything else is, I am inclined to say that it might be a configuration error somewhere, or maybe the field doesn't support drill-down.
