1 & 2 - We can add a link to an external CSS file, and it will override the existing CSS. We do not currently have a method for uploading a CSS file directly. However, linking an external CSS file hosted on the customer’s domain gives them a workable solution, since they can manage and update the CSS on their side without needing to edit it in our editor.

3 & 4 - No, we do not provide sample elements, classes(apart from the article you shared), or templates. The customer can use the browser’s developer tools to identify the relevant classes and override them as needed.

Thanks Ayush Kanodia - will linking to the external CSS file involve any services from our end or can the customer do this?

They can do it. They need to add their public CSS file url in: web theme → Advanced Options → CSS URL.
