Title "Access Privilege Allow Access To Work Order Status By Department" doesn't make sense
Hi team,
Just some feedback I received during the EMEA Illuminate Conference last week. When presenting a session on Access Privileges, it was mentioned that the word “Status” does not make sense in the following Access Privilege:
Allow Access To Work Order Status By Department
The explanation in this Access Privilege is correct and the functionality works as expected:
This access privilege controls who can view work orders based on the work order department. Roles/users are assigned security privileges in two parts: Assign Access Privileges and Assign Details. When a role/user is assigned to the privilege, Assign Details defaults to all departments. To limit access to selected departments, right-click on the assigned role/user and select Assign Details to access the Assign Details screen.
If no roles/users are assigned to the privilege, it is considered inactive and all roles/users can access work orders from all departments. If a role/user is assigned (activating the access privilege), all unassigned users cannot view work orders from any departments.
However, nowhere in the text or in the behavior of this Access Privilege is the “Status” of the Work Order actually relevant. So I agree with the feedback here.
Should this be considered an enhancement request, or would you prefer that I create a Zendesk ticket/JIRA case directly for this?
Thanks
Minka
