I'm not an expert with bookings, I had never heard of internal users needing booking approval before, but it looks like there is a request space workflow for scenarios where users can request spaces that are then reviewed: https://supportcenter.ungerboeck.com/hc/en-us/articles/33939756101527-How-can-I-allow-users-to-request-space-but-not-confirm-it

I didn't see any part of the article regarding notifications though - I suggest checking with a booking expert.

    Hi Jillian,

I'm assuming “Space Approvers” are not the same people who currently books from back office. If this is the case, then reminder activity or activity checklist could work well which could either generate a notification or email based on the setup and cloud task engine for reminders. This should trigger the activity or users booking the space should be able to generate an activity/send notification or send an email if need to as part of booking process.

If you are looking for 100% automation, then may be possible through webhooks (check with TS) but the criteria needs to be defined quite well and not just generate a series of notifications just because users would prefer to see it in inbox and not within the application.

    Response from engineering:

“The only way I know of would be a web hook where the user configures it themselves through technical solutions. Or there could possibly be a convoluted way. Assuming that they have activity notifications turned on, using the default note class configuration, using Recipient List that is configured with recipients for all space providers but that does not scale well at all.”
