Ask Mo - can this be enabled only for specific users or roles?
Hi,
With the automatic enablement of Ask Mo Support to all users last week, customers raised questions with me if Ask Mo Support can be enablement for specific users/roles?
I think it can't but I would like to have the 100% confirmation. And if not possible now, is it something we will (re-)consider?
Business case: Customers sometimes have working methods that can deviate (slightly) from best practice in Enterprise. Admins first want the opportunity to test before releasing this functionality to all users.

Laura de Jong I am working on a solution for this. This is coming in the near future and we will communicate once we have coordinated with GTM teams and the appropriate documentation.

It says in the article that Ask Mo Support cannot be disabled for individual users, the inverse is also true that then it cannot be enabled for specific users. I have heard this multiple times from both Richard and Seth in meetings and in the process of reviewing this article. They'll have to comment if it's something they'd consider, but I'm guessing they'd say to add it as an enhancement request. 🙂

If this is a temporary issues while they test, they'll need to turn it off for their entire account and then turn it on for the whole account. I do not know if this is something that they can enable on just their test environment.
Ask Mo Support is based on the knowledge base, which is available to all users and has been available to be searched in-app for years. I would suggest that this is a training and process issue for our clients: if they have specific processes that are different, they should have those well documented and accessible and train their staff to look at that documentation first.
Caty Pomeroy This is the second time I've heard this, that people are concerned that their staff will be led astray by processes from the knowledge base. Maybe a talk track or such is needed for CSMs?
