SMPT AUTH for email
AnsweredJust a quick question. We have been contacted by Vue Group who is wondering if we use SMTP AUTH for sending emails as Microsoft is retiring it. As far as I know we use OAUTH for Elite but I was not sure. On a side note do we know what WeTrack uses? (In case we get asked about that)

Please refer to the attached Microsoft article regarding Exchange Online retiring Basic Auth for client submission (SMTP AUTH):

As Microsoft is discontinuing Basic Auth for SMTP client submission, effective 1 March 2026, please perform the following checks and updates for your system(s) for Vue Group – Momentus Elite Events Management System.
Confirm whether your system is currently using SMTP AUTH for email sending (Exchange Online client submission).

Hi Alex Weygandt - no, for Elite we use Postmark for sending emails, so this change should not effect us. I cannot speak for WeTrack, and would recommend posting in their Documentus or reaching out to Vernica Lodha . Thanks!

Hey Alex Weygandt we use Sendgrid. So this should not affect us either.
