Preference Types in Online Space Booking

Description of the Issue:
The client has set up OSB but the Preference Types are always checked by default which is not allowed to be in Germany.
 

I checked several parts in the Backoffice like “Preference Types etc.” but have not been able to deactivate this default. Also directly in the OSB Settings I do not find any option for this.

Also in the Knowledge Base the Preference Type Articles only lead to Registration and EXP but not to OSB. And for the OSB content I could not find anything regarding this.

Is it possible to set this and if so where exactly?

    Hi Dominik Obelöer did you check the Account Management Configurations for OSB? Go to Menu > Account Management Configurations > Check the one which is used for OSB (which you can check in the OSB Configuration) 

    In OSB Configuration you can check the ACM which is used: 

     

    In Account Management Configurations you can check the settings: 

    Maybe this is where the mandatory tickbox is ticked.

    Minka Verkaar I actually did check the Account Management Configs and they are also all displayed in there. But the Mandatory is of my testing not responsible for them being checked or not. It only defines if they need to be checked or not to continue.

    It is not about the Preference Types being mandatory or not but about them being checked by default.

    I don't know any way to change this behavior. In Registration, we do not check them automatically, so it seems like it's up to the app on the default behavior. I think this would be an enhancement.

    I am very out of touch with configurations for OSB, but will UDFs work for OSB? That way it isn't checked by default?

    Seth Halvaksz after Tier 3 reviewed, it seems this would be an enhancement.  if that is the case would you please confirm?

    Josiane Mikhael Mike Schepker Nicole Loh Yes if several in tier 3 have reviewed, then I am ok to treat it as an enhancement.  Or you can tag me on the post.

    I confirmed that this is an enhancement to control if a check-box is opt-out vs opt-in.  Dominik Obelöer please create a post in Product Feedback and add to this post for reference.

    I see the comment in the post that this is not allowed in Germany. I would have expected this to come up before now - i assume we have other German customers using OSB?

    You can only control if the questions is mandatory or not, as was mentioned above.

    I honestly find it also very odd that so far not more clients from the DACH Region have reached out about this but maybe they just did not pay attention to it. In my research I found out that there is the option to turn this off in other Apps but just in the OSB this is missing. 

    So for the sake of future peace in the EMEA Region - I think this is even an EU wide law - this should really be considered.
