We recommend using the Web Lead Form.  We are working on a plan to retire COWF, so it would be great to migrate them over to Web Lead Forms, as they will be forced to sometime soon, likely by the end of 2025.

Let me know if you get them converted so that I can note this down in the retirement plan.

    Thanks!

Thanks Eric, thats great and helpful info. I’ll speak to the customer and let you know.

Based on your advice, i interpret that WLF is fully supported by product and an offering we still can use, correct?

  • Eric Lowe

    Correct

    Thanks @...

Himanshu please let us know (by commenting in this post) if you are successful moving the customer from COWF to the Web Lead form.  We are looking at options to sunset COWF, and wondering if this is a short-term replacement option.

Thank you team, will post an update here.

Himanshu is there any services work/scope involved to move the customer to web lead form?

I am curious how long we'd expect the implementation take

  • Himanshu

Seth Halvaksz - Customers who are well aware on the product configuration should be capable to handle this change themselves as the support articles are very straightforward. However for a customer who would like to get this done a scope could vary and i'm estimating 10hrs maximum as i see it loosely.

    Thanks Himanshu for the information

Do you know when your customer (who is it?) will decide if they will move forward

Seth Halvaksz - Its City of Whitehorse, i'm trying to get this licensed first and see if this is FOC or does it have at any cost?

Its likely if this is of cost, they will not look to vest in it.

Ok thanks - I assume they pay something for the COWF today, so as long as they don't pay more than they do today, they would consider it. We'll get more info on costs.

I am noting some differences between COWF and Web Lead Form for reference.

    COWF

    • COWF not only creates Contact or Contact and Account, but also adds opportunity data under those accounts/contacts.
    • Create Accounts and Contacts, Opportunities,  User can add Affiliations, Product and Services, Preferences, COWF Activities, Documents.
    • COWF Features -  Captcha, Logo, File Upload, Languages.

    WLF

    • WLF just adds a Lead and Event Opportunity and doesn't create an account/contact.
    • Create Account Leads, Preferences, Event Opportunity, Documents, Notes.
    • WLF Features - File Upload, Custom Text, Languages.
    • WLF uses Web Theme for styling similar to all other Angular apps
