Booking Modified Webhook missing data object
Answered- Description of the issue: I have configured the Booking Modified webhook but the data object is missing in the payload.
- Account name: DWTC
- Region: EMEA
- Client version: 24.4 20250103
-
Steps to reproduce:
- Set up the Booking Modified webhook
- Go to Event Bookings in the Main Menu
- Edit any booking
- See the payload missing the data object
- Observed results vs Expected results: Would expect the data object in the webhook payload.
- What is the job the client is trying to accomplish: Customer wants to process booking updates in a third party system.
- Business impact if not resolved: Low. We can use the API to get the data with the payload.
- Link to Zendesk ticket: not created yet.

Thanks
Manu

Manuel Wagenbach This forum is to clarify if something is working as designed or a bug.
Is there documentation on this webhook that you can point me to?
-
That is precisely why I posted this inquiry here. I am not aware of any documentation for this webhook—or for any webhook, in detail—as our customer has observed a discrepancy in behavior (specifically, a missing data object). I have already searched the knowledge base without finding any relevant information.
-
I've had another idea about our legacy webhook feature.
And yes, if we activate the Systemparameter IG 000 the data object is being populated.
-
Manuel Wagenbach ok i don't know much about webhooks or how we maintain webhook documentation.
I'll reach out to a few people to understand how we determine which webhooks we support, and how it gets documented. Give me until next week to get back to you.

Manuel Wagenbach i spoke to Sven about this, and he is going to discuss with you on Monday. Then we'll go from there.
He also provided these links to existing webhook documentation. Its really thin, so we'll see what we can/should do to make this better:

that's what I have found too, but this documentation is very thin and just a starting point.
Thanks for checking. -
Manuel - did Sven talk to you about this
-
We would appreciate it if there would be documentation from the product on how to “disable the legacy webhooks” or remove legacy webhooks from the software. Since the software, per default, is using outdated legacy webhooks and not the modern models, which is very confusing.
-
Manuel Wagenbach @... i had a chance to chat with Steve McGavock about this today. I am getting a list of legacy vs modern webhooks, so we can decide if we deprecate the legacy ones. And also will get documentation updated with more details once we make this decision.
That said, this is a legacy webhook at Sven mentioned so its working as designed. I'd like to see if there's an option for tech services to take over these webhooks so we don't stop your progress with customers.
-
Seth Halvaksz Thanks.
Manuel Wagenbach does this close the request? For now?
-
yes, I've disabled legacy webhooks for the customer and documentation discussion was started.
