RE: Forgot Password Link - Usage when on DPU - using both AD/Momentus authentication
AnsweredHi,
Following this article - https://supportcenter.ungerboeck.com/hc/en-us/articles/115011406808-Configure-the-Forgot-Password-Link
We're supposed to configure System Parameter - v20 / code 115 - when clients are using Active Directory authentication. And supposed to leave this parameter blank if client are using Momentus Authentication. So that the Forgot Password Link on the main login page will work correctly and be able to send out reset password emails to users.
What should we expect of the system here > When customer is already using webconfig>Authentication Type>"Defined by User". Which allows the use of both Active Directory and Momentus authentication type users concurrently. How should the system parameter be configured?
From customer reports - we seem able to configure the system parameter in question for the “Forgot Password link” to work with either authentication types and not both.
Can we check - is there a way to have “Forgot Password Link” work with both authentication type users active?
Or if the system not designed to be able to handle both?
Thanks

Hi Kyle,
The Enterprise software can only work with one authentication type at a time in regards to the “Forgot Password” link.
If a client has DPU turned on and has both Momentus and AD users, I'd set the Password reset link to work with Momentus authentication and then have them use the Services Portal for all of their AD users.
Ideally, we'd like users to steer away from AD and adopt Momentus authentication moving forward, so I don't think they would make any changes to allow multiple password reset configurations.
