The support tools generally run in the background, so we created this page to let you see their status and details from each one. In the Support app, navigate to the Tools section and you will see the list of logs.
This view shows all of the operations performed on this Elite cluster, starting with the most recent. Each log has a status icon:
- ⌛ - Yellow hourglass - it is running*
- ✅ - Green checkbox - it has successfully completed
- ❗ - Red exclamation point - it failed to complete
Each line indicates the time that the tool started and ended; who ran it; and some additional information depending on the type of tool. For example:
- SnapshotId
- CapsuleId
- DumpId
You can use the Refresh icon (⟳) to update the log status, and you can also turn on "auto-refresh" so you don't have to continually click Refresh when you're waiting for something to finish.
Filtering
Click the Filter () icon to bring up a slider to filter the logs by slug, tenant, tool, and support user. To filter by support user you will need to know the full email address.
Viewing Details
This spreadsheet conversion failed. Bummer! Click anywhere in the row to display the detailed log entries that the tool generated.
In the example shown below, the snapshot import failed! Bummer. But we can click anywhere in the row to show a slider with all the log entries that the tool generated.
Sometimes there are a lot of INFO lines. You can filter out Info, Warn, or Error messages with the checkboxes.
Exporting
There are two export features -- you can export the main list - last 30 days through all time.
While you are viewing a specific log, you can export the details. This will respect any Info/Warn/Error filtering you have set.
* If it has been running for a long time, it's possible that the tool has failed "silently" and was not able to update its status to "Failed."
